Turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, lemon juice, and raw honey.Take 1 teaspoon daily starting on the 7th dayI’ll give you the recipe, and you give us an “OK,” so we know the recipes are reaching you.
The “Immunity Gold” Tonic
This recipe makes a concentrated base that you can store in the fridge. It’s designed to be potent, so a little goes a long way.
Ingredients
- Raw Honey (1 cup): Acts as the preservative and “carrier” for the other nutrients.
- Turmeric Powder (2 tbsp): High in curcumin (best paired with a pinch of black pepper to increase absorption by 2,000%).
- Fresh Ginger (2 tbsp, grated): Contains gingerol, which has powerful medicinal properties.
- Cinnamon (1 tsp): Preferably Ceylon cinnamon for its lower coumarin content.
- Fresh Lemon Juice (2 tbsp): Provides Vitamin C and balances the earthiness of the turmeric.
Preparation Guide
1
Prep the Aromatics
Ginger and Lemon
Grate the fresh ginger finely. Squeeze the lemon juice into a small bowl, ensuring no seeds remain.
2
Infuse the Honey
Mixing the base
Pour the raw honey into a clean glass jar. Add the grated ginger and lemon juice. Stir slowly with a wooden or silicone spoon (metal can sometimes react with raw honey).
3
Add the Spices
Consistency is key
Incorporate the turmeric, cinnamon, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir until the mixture is a uniform, deep golden paste with no dry clumps.
4
Curing Period
Wait 7 days
Seal the jar and store it in a cool, dark place (or the fridge) for 7 days. This allows the ginger to “weep” its juices into the honey and the flavors to meld.
How to Use
As noted, start your regimen on the 7th day after mixing.
- Daily Dose: Take 1 teaspoon once per day.
- Direct Method: Take it straight off the spoon and let it dissolve slowly in your mouth.
- Tea Method: Stir your teaspoon into a cup of warm (not boiling) water. Boiling water can destroy the beneficial enzymes in raw honey and the Vitamin C in the lemon.
Expert Tip: If the mixture separates over time, simply give it a quick stir before your daily dose. The ginger fibers may settle at the bottom.
