Bay Leaf and Clove Herbal Tea ☕🌿
Description

This warm herbal tea made with bay leaves and cloves is simple, aromatic, and comforting. Traditionally enjoyed for its soothing properties, it’s often used to support digestion, boost immunity, and help the body relax. The flavor is gently spicy with a subtle earthy note, making it perfect for sipping any time of day.

Ingredients

3–4 dried bay leaves

6–8 whole cloves

2 cups water

Honey or natural sweetener (optional)

Lemon slice (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients
Rinse the bay leaves gently under running water to remove any dust. Measure out the cloves and set everything aside.

Boil the Water
Pour 2 cups of water into a small saucepan and place it over medium heat until it comes to a gentle boil.

Add Bay Leaves and Cloves
Once the water starts boiling, add the bay leaves and whole cloves to the saucepan.

Simmer the Tea
Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10–15 minutes. This allows the flavors and natural compounds to infuse into the water. You’ll notice the color turning a warm amber.

Strain the Tea
Remove the saucepan from heat. Using a fine strainer, strain the tea into a cup to remove the bay leaves and cloves.

Sweeten and Serve
Add honey or your preferred sweetener if desired. For extra freshness, you can also add a slice of lemon. Serve warm and enjoy.

Tips & Variations

For a stronger flavor, lightly crush the cloves before adding them to the water.

You can add a small piece of cinnamon stick for extra warmth and aroma.

Drink 1 cup daily, preferably warm, especially in the evening.

Storage

This tea is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and reheat gently before drinking.
