Cheesy Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan Wraps


 

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced into strips)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crispiness)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas (or wraps of your choice)
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Chicken:

    • Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips. Season them lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Coat the Chicken:

    • In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Dip each chicken strip into the beaten egg and then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to make sure the chicken is fully covered.
  3. Air Fry the Chicken:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
    • Place the breaded chicken strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and crispy.
  4. Assemble the Wraps:

    • Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface.
    • Add a few strips of air-fried chicken to the center of each tortilla.
    • Top with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Wrap It Up:

    • Carefully roll up the tortillas, folding in the sides as you go to create a tight wrap.
  6. Air Fry the Wraps:

    • Place the wraps seam-side down in the air fryer basket (you may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer).
    • Lightly spray the wraps with olive oil to help them crisp up.
    • Air fry for 5-6 minutes at 375°F (190°C), until the wraps are golden and crispy.
  7. Serve:

    • Serve the cheesy chicken parmesan wraps with extra marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!

This recipe is great for a quick weeknight dinner, and the air fryer gives it that crispy, crunchy texture without all the oil. You can also customize it by adding some fresh basil or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
