Traditional Turkish Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose  flour

1 teaspoon  sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast

1 cup warm water

2 tablespoons olive oil

Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil, stirring until the mixture comes together to form a dough.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let It Rise: Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for approximately 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Shape the Bread: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and shape it into a ball. Place the dough on a greased baking sheet.
