Luxurious Chicken and Mushroom Pasta in Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
8 oz fettuccine pasta
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken slices, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until softened and fragrant.
Add sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the pan, tossing to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley. Enjoy the creamy, rich pasta dish!
