Big Mac Salad

The Big Mac Salad is a delicious, low-carb salad that captures the flavors of a Big Mac without the bun! Here’s a recipe to make it at home:

Ingredients

For the Salad:

1 lb ground beef (80/20 or leaner)

Salt and pepper, to taste

6 cups romaine lettuce, chopped

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced dill pickles

1/4 cup red onion, finely diced

Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

For the "Special Sauce" Dressing:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 tbsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp dill pickle relish

1 tsp white vinegar

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Cook the Beef:

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain any excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.

2. Prepare the Dressing:

In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, relish, vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

3. Assemble the Salad:

In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheddar, diced pickles, and red onion.

Add the cooled ground beef to the salad.

4. Add the Dressing:

Drizzle the "special sauce" dressing over the salad and toss to combine.

5. Serve:

Garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds (optional) for that Big Mac feel. Enjoy!

This salad is customizable, so feel free to add your favorite toppings, such as sliced avocado or crispy bacon for extra flavor. Enjoy!
